Gary Busey Faces Sex Charges at a Fan Convention

At a New Jersey fan convention this month, actor Gary Busey was charged with sexual assaults.

Two counts of illegal sexual activity in the fourth degree were brought against Busey, 78, on Friday.

One count of harassment and one count of attempted criminal sexual contact, according to Cherry Hill police on Saturday.

The allegations relate to misdemeanours committed at the annual Monster Mania Convention held at the Doubletree Hotel in Cherry Hill from August 12–14.

All three days of the event were planned to feature Busey, who resides in Malibu, California.

It was also unclear whether Busey has legal counsel to respond to the charges.

Busey is primarily recognised as a character actor, but he gained fame and an Oscar nomination for his performance as the title character in "The Buddy Holly Story."
