Step 1 : Prepare your Thread

Prepare your Thread

First you will need to cut a piece of sewing thread about 12 inches long and tie the thread in a knot to make a loop. If you have big hands or fingers then you might need a 14 inches longer piece of thread.

Step 2: Twist your Thread

Twist your Thread

Insert two fingers from both hands into the loop. Hold the knotted end of the thread in one hand, and twist the fingers on one hand to make an ‘X’. Twist your fingers 4 to 5 times in the same direction.

Step 3: Practice the Movement of the Thread

Practice the Movement of the Thread for Eyebrow Threading

Hold the twisted thread between the thumb and index finger of both hands. Open one hand with your thumb and forefinger positioned in the loop. Then, close the other hand. The loop’s center twist should come back and forth as you increase and decrease the distance between your thumbs and forefinger.

Keep practicing this movement until you feel confident and this twisting movement is used to remove your eyebrow hairs. We also suggest practicing on your friend, husband or boyfriend’s leg hair before attempting the brow hairs. Because it is hard to control the thread in the beginning.

Step 4: Position the Thread on your Brows

Position the Thread on your Brows

Once you have mastered the movement of the thread, position the twisted center of the thread over your Eyebrow right on top of the hairs you want to remove.

Step 5: Start Threading your Eyebrows

Start Threading your Eyebrows

Make sure to pull the hairs in the opposite direction of the way it grows. Be gentle while you thread your eyebrows. Place one hand above your brow and the other one is below your brows. This is important: the hand that will be used to move the twisted part of the thread will be the hand below the brows.

Place the hair you want to pull out in the V part of the thread. Open the fingers of the below hand to move the twist over the hair. The hair gets caught in the twist and thus will be pulled out!!! Do this movement fast, it is painless. Open the fingers of the other hand to place the twist back in the middle.

Repeat the process and continue until you have achieved your desired shape.

Note: When threading near hair and you don’t want to remove the hairs, you can use the thread to push the hair out of the way. This will allow easier access to the one hair you want removed.
